We just installed this faucet and it's terrific. I do wish the horizontal arm were about an inch, maybe an inch and a half, longer -- I find myself having to lean forward as I wash dishes.
Also note that the faucet remembers the spray setting. If it's on spray, it'll stay on spray next time you turn it on. (My previous faucet always reverted to the full stream, not spray, once I turned it off).
It's also a little difficult to pull the head out and down -- as you pull the hose through the spring, the spring flexes down, so it makes it a little hard to pull. It also retracts very slowly. However, it's not that big of a deal.
Especially considering the low Overstock price, this is a fantastic faucet!
I absolutely love this faucet. I like that it is easy to adjust the temperature, with just one handle. I also really appreciate that it doesn't show water beads like chrome ones do, so it stays looking clean longer. the pullout feature is great, and retracts nicely too. Overall, very happy!
This faucet looks and performs like those priced much higher. LOVE it!!! I love the reach that the hose has, water pressure is excellent , and husband said it was easier to install than our previous faucet- with better designed connections. I recommend this product.
We installed the Vigo modern pull-down faucet about a week ago. We installed it directly on a granite countertop. It looks beautiful. We were concerned with leaking after reading all of the reviews on the Vigo faucets and we had spent a large sum on brand new cabinetry. It did leak, but my husband is very mechanical and has installed many faucets before (we have rental property). He found 2 things: 1) The supply lines (which come pre-attached) are much smaller or at least the connectors are than traditional supply lines so finding the proper fittings was difficult. 2) Normally in the supply lines and the spray hose there are rubber gaskets that seal around the connecting parts. These faucets come with plastic (hard) gaskets that obviously do not seal thus causing leakage from several points. My husband went down to our local hardware and was able to get the proper gaskets and take care of the leaking. That being said this is one of the few faucets we saw that had a sprayer hose that pulled out longer than the height of the faucet. This is an awesome feature and one I've used over and over again already. We prefer the black hose it makes the stainless stand out more and we love that the base of the faucet is also fashioned as a spring. So all in all we love it except that the manufacture poorly designed the line connections with cheap gaskets but an inexpensive thing to change for an awesome faucet with a great look.
This kitchen faucet by Kraus is perfect! A modern sleek chrome look to go with the Kraus sink that I also had installed. The water pressure is great, the lever is smooth and quick to respond to desired water temperature, no issues with the hose retracting (though I've only used it a handfull of times so far). Some reviewers complained about having to hold the button down for the spray function but it doesn't bother me. I'm not sure how easy installation was since my contractor took care of it. The neck swings from side to side and there is also an optional cover plate for the base. Great buy.
This faucet is fantastic. Solid Solid SOLID. We were concerned that the cross arm would be plastic or weak metal. In fact, the cross arm is thick, solid bronze and the whole faucet is extremely solid. The install was simple, maybe 5 minutes maximum on our brand new granite counter tops. We could not be more pleased. The whole this is solid like a rock and yet the flexible, industrial style (spring-ed) head provides all the flexibility anyone would want. I would highly recommend this faucet without hesitation. The finish on this faucet is beautiful and very consistent. Even the cross arm has the same finish. I don't think you will find a simpler, sturdier, more refined looking faucet for this price. Trust me, we shopped around and this was by far the cheapest (cost wise) we found and it turned out to be much sturdier and nicer than any of the faucets we encountered in the stores, installer showrooms, etc... If you want to go with the bronze look, you would be making a very bad decision to pass on this amazing deal on such an amazing faucet. My wife is as happy as a clam...
I LOVE THIS FAUCET!! Even better than my last restaurant style faucet. I got this one because it has the 'Pause' feature. I open the main valve to the pressure and temperature I like to use and can just grab the spray feature when I need and hose down dishes. I never have to adjust the main temp unless I really want freezing cold or boiling hot water. The sprayer has a lot of pressure if you need it. I keep the main valve on about half pressure. The pot filler also has it's own on/off so again you never have to adjust the main on/off and temp control if you don't need to. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS Vigo Faucet and got 2 of the matching all stainless steel soap dispensers. If I could post a picture of my new set up you'd be jealous.
I'm pretty well competent in doing plumbing, electrical, construction, you name it. Bought the faucet as price wise it looked a great buy compared to the local home stores as the price was about the same as a standard name faucet set.
Upon arrival the faucet is impressive. The lower section is quite heavy and looks well made. The sprayer retainer has a couple of set screws to hold in a plastic guide for the thing to pivot on. The upper portion is a heavy chrome spring (chrome finish faucet) with a standard looking flex hose run in the middle of it. The sprayer head is very heavy with a good feel to the handle and has a loop that flips over the top of the handle to hold the sprayer on if you want to wash veg etc. without having to hold the handle down to get the spray. Whole thing is very commercial looking.
The little flip handle at the end of the faucet allows you to divert the water. You can have both the sprayer and the faucet going at the same time or you can turn the little handle piece at the end of the faucet and gradually turn the water off on the faucet side so only the sprayer works.
Flow wise it seems plenty to me. We have good water pressure in our home so don't know if that makes a difference, but the sprayer and faucet run a good jet of water that seems plenty powerful for what we need. Any more and I would think that the water would be hitting whatever you are spraying and splashing everywhere. Still might as it is now.
Main control is the handle on the side down low. With the handle tilted out from the faucet the water turns on. Takes a bit of getting used to not to pull it too far and have the water full on. Does not take much range of motion to do. Feels solid and not flimsy. Straight up is cold and if you turn the handle towards you is hot. Turns (going off memory now) approx 90 degrees from straight up. So, worked well for us as we were concerned with the range of motion of some faucets we looked at and felt they would hit the back splash and so we'd have to turn the control more towards the sink to clear. Not a problem with this one as the range of motion puts all action out toward the sink. Hope that makes sense. Both the facet spout and sprayer both pivot so you can put the water where you need.
Issues. Not been in that long so longevity I don't feel I can comment on. We felt, for the price, we could install it, use it and if it had a problem that was not in warranty then we were not out any more than a regular faucet. Looked at a Kohler that was approx the same as this one (had a arched tube instead of a spring and a standard looking pull out sprayer hose with a really nice head on it) that was $1000! Felt this was quite a bargain then!
Instructions. I'm pretty handy. The instructions are a little vague. Connection of the hot and cold lines - when they are talking about left and right on connection lay the faucet assembly down with the main controller facing the right. The hose connections are angled, but one is more to the left than the other and this is how I hooked it and it works correctly. Turn to the red position on the main controller and the hot water comes on.
There are two rubber washers in the kit. Might have missed where they go as all you get is an expaneded view picture, but looked to see and did not really see where they go. I finally (and perhaps not correctly) put one on the connection of the flex pipe with the spring around it to the main unit as it looked like it needed some seal there. Also, maybe need to take a better look, but could not decide which way the spray retainer should be sitting. The retainer is cupped on one side and flat on the other. With it installed with the flat surface up the connection for the spring hose is easy to get too, but then the spring just slides around and can twist at an angle. With it flipped the other way with the cup part up the hose connection is pretty difficult to get in and tighten, but the spring then sits in the cup and is held in place. That is how we have it installed now.
Last is a comment on mounting. Instructions are clear enough, but it would have been nice to have something that looked a little more sturdy. Perhaps a threaded collar made on to the base, in a diameter to fit a standard faucet hole, that would slide through the sink or counter and then a retaining washer and nut that could be tightened on so that you had a wider load spread and perhaps less chance of movement within the mount hole. The soap dispenser we bought looks more sturdy of a mount. What the faucet comes with is a threaded hole at the bottom that a 3/8 or so stud mounts in. This and the hoses slip through the hole and then a horseshoe metal retainer (to allow the hoses to pass through) and a rubber seal are what retains everything. You just tighten a small 7/16 wrench nut on it. With the weight of this thing it just seems like it could have been designed more stable. I tightened it as much as I dare (mounting in silestone counter) and it does not move or wabble, but wonder about maybe having to go back in down the road to retighten. Just seems a flimsy mount compared to what it could be. Might be fine though. Hose connections - simple enough, they screw to your hot and cold pipe connections. Only issue I had was the flex lines that come with the faucet were too short. Had to go buy some hoses to extend the length to reach the lines.
Guess last word of caution is that this thing is HEAVY! If you are mounting to a sink itself and the gauge is not thick enough you may have issues. Nothing to support this, but just a feeling. Hope that helps. NOTE: so far I'd recommend, but again has not been in long so no longevity comment. Feels pretty sturdy, metal for the spray head, metal base etc. Looks great for the price.
I just bought a new house and needed a new faucet. I wanted something with that commercial feel, but not too big and clunky. I went with the Matte Black/Brushed Nickel option and it was the perfect choice! This faucet was so easy to install, and it worked perfect the first time I turned it on. The pull-out faucet is smooth and has the perfect reach for my huge sink. I love this faucet!!
I am very pleased with this faucet! It has wonderful water pressure and the pull down spray option is amazing. The included faceplate fits perfectly over my previous 3 hole kitchen faucet (a big relief). I love this single stem faucet, it is sleek, modern and very efficient. I believe for the price, I could not have done better!!!
Install = Simple
Chose this model because I could tell the height of the faucet head was adjustable. Easy to adjust up and down with the set screw on the mounting arm. It doesn't get any easier than this to upgrade the look of your kitchen. The faucet is now the centerpiece of the entire area.
Love this faucet ... the look and functions work perfectly not cheaply made very durable great price. Do not attempt to installl yourself not an easy task cost $250 for installation but I still love it!
We were looking for a brushed gold faucet to update our very early 2000's kitchen, and this is one of the few on the market that won't set you back thousands of dollars. It is very sleek, was not difficult to install, and overall looks very nice.
This is a gorgeous faucet. We bought this style because the plumber said the kind with the spring on the outside is really hard to keep clean. It is really sturdy and well-made and the matt Black finish is high quality. I like this one because the part that pulls out matches the lines of the rest of the faucet instead of flaring or looking different and the base will be easy to keep clean.
This faucet looks great in my newly remodeled kitchen! Finding oil rubbed fixtures that don't look like antiques is extremely hard to find in the home warehouse stores. Overstock has a great selection of faucets in all types of styles. Great quality at a great price.
This was a very easy to install product and it works well. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the flow reduction device that is a water saving feature. It does reduce the power of the flow a little. It is certainly worth the asking price!
The faucet is very impressive. Make sure you measure because it is almost two feet tall. Good solid stainless steel for the body. The sprayer head is plastic though. It has four spray modes which are helpful. Very easy to install. The hose doesn't pull out, it stays in the springer neck, but it moves enough to cover a large sink. It's a beautiful faucet.
Great price for this nice look. Compact and ease use of handle. Look and feel well crafted, but I don't know about the durability and how long it will last. It's not Moen "buy it for life", but lets hope it lasts at least when penguins fly.
This faucet is good looking and it works great too! I got the black one and it looks nice with a black granite sink. (I had a hard time deciding which color to get.) I would recommend this faucet, even though it has only been installed for a few days! The pull-out sprayer is very comfortable to hold and fun to use! I trust that the lifetime Delta Warranty will take care of anything in the future! My backsplash was not installed yet for the first photo, so I put a piece of cardboard behind the faucet. The second photo was taken today. I love this faucet!
Just installed this faucet Friday evening after upgrading to granite counter tops in the kitchen. I am a female engineer and was able to install it by myself except when tightening the two anchor screws on the backing plate that hold the faucet securely against the granite from the underside. With only one person, the faucet will rotate as you tighten one screw at a time. My arms are not long enough to manipulate a screw driver behind the double sinks and hold the faucet from the topside. Had to have husband hold the faucet steady. Other than that, it was not obvious that a flat head screw driver was required to pull out the spring loaded sprayer hose from it's recessed, hidden location within the faucet! Would be nice to have a diagram showing this! So far enjoying the hands free sensor especially after cracking eggs for breakfast and needing to wash my hands.
I looked at many faucets before deciding on this eclectic style from Vigo. It was hard to find one that was stainless steel ,not to large, well made and very reasonably priced. It is a very heavy and sturdy kitchen faucet. It is larger than I thought it would be but looks great in my kitchen. The price and the quality of the stainless is superb. It is a beautiful faucet that will really make an impact witht my stainless steel apron farm sink.
I purchased this sink a few months back, I designed my kitchen around this sink, and I have to say so far I am in love with it, the quality is amazing, and I love that it cleans so nicely too, it is so much bigger than I thought it would be..it is such a beautiful sink, and the faucet that came with it was the icing on the cake..
This is advertized as a water filer faucet. I needed a brushed nickle faucet to match the rest of the faucets. This iNOT a water fileter faucet. It is missing two of the major parts that you need with reverse osmosis systems and I owuld imagine any water filter system.
Have you seen faucets at a home improvement store lately? They are ginormous! Our kitchen is on the smaller side so scale was very important to me. I saw a blog where a gal used this faucet in her kitchen and thought- why not? Perfect size and the color goes great with my matte gold hardware. On trend and looks perfect! This pic is just to give you idea of scale- we are almost done w/kitchen :)
Just had this installed and love it - it's an industrial look but designed for a residence - my plumber couldn't believe the price. The hot/cold handle has a wide range of motion so it's easy to achieve incremental temperatures between hot and cold. Faucet rotates 360 degrees - could be useful but be careful you don't rotate it past your sink unless you're filling a pan with water. Pull down sprayer has a lot of water pressure so will do a good job rinsing dishes. If you press the button to use the spray feature, the spray feature stays on until you press the button again. The base plate covers up the holes from my old faucet set, which were 8 inches apart. I really don't think you can beat this for the price, and it doesn't look or feel cheap - we'll see how it performs over time. Very happy with this purchase!
We had a difficult time deciding which faucet to purchase and narrowed it down to several choices. This was one of the more expensive faucets that we considered, but well WORTH the price. Well made, easy to install/use, love the ease of switching between the 2 modes, HIGHLY recommend.
I am a kitchen/bath contractor so I used vigo faucets before. Great value- all metal construction and beautiful finish. I love the "sock" in the packaging. Shows how the manufacturer values the product they put on the market. I dealt with vigo cust service and they were unusually generous and quick. Rest assured you are buying quality.
I have wanted this type of faucet for years but have seen them priced as high as 900.00 After seeing this price I decided to go ahead and add one. We installed it ourselves, very easily. The quality is excellent! It adds a nice custom touch to the kitchen and no more carrying heavy pots of water to the stove. I just love it!
Absolutely LOVE this faucet and the price was amazing as well. This faucet has preformed very well and love how tall it is. I can now fit big pots in the sink and they dont even come close to the height of the nozzle. It definitely its like a piece of art in out kitchen, so beautiful!
