The rug is a nice pattern and seems to be well made, but the cast of the color looks almost "green" in my house. I I have another jute rug from this company and the color is more taupe/beige which I was hoping would be the undertones of this rug. I am not sure I will keep it. it definitely has warm undertones in the gold, almost green area than the true beiges for people that are interested in the undertones of the rug.
Used this runner on my hardwood floor going from one room to another. Really brightened up the space i used it in. They look really good on my hardwood floors. I use them in the fall and winter and use the jute runners i bought from overstock in spring and summer.
I ended up sending it back because I decided to go for a solid pattern, natural jute runner in the space instead. That said, I really liked the pattern, feel and color. I liked it so much that I may purchase the larger version for my family room which will work well with the pattern.
I ordered this runner to place in front of a sliding door. It has s contemporary beach-y look however it would not be a good choice if we really lived closer to the beach because vacuuming sand out the deep jute just would not be practical. Be warned that the height of this runner is over an inch making it a poor choice if placed in front of a door that swings inward. Considering that it is made of jute, it is actually softer under foot than I expected. I was a bit confused that online prices varied widely among vendors. I ordered the cheapest and it arrived within two days without problem. I am happy to say that the ends of the runner are almost entirely flat against the floor after being down a couple of days. Many rugs that are rolled for shipping annoyingly curl and it is a challenge to get them to lay flat.
