I always liked the gold tone case as most of my jewelry is gold. The black leather strap was the only thing I've ever had to replace in all the years since it was left to me. It certainly wasn't a new watch when I first had it, but still looked it. I had always admired the small and unobtrusive look of it, and it's easy to read, and I always particularly loved being able to just push a button to see the time in a lovely shade of blue, then go right back to sleep. In short, I am truly delighted to have found this watch after losing the one I had received so long ago. It simply didn't check to see if Timex was still making the exact same, watch, and shouldn't have surprised me, and if it hadn't been a part of your recent sale when I was buying many other items!. Otherwise, I would probably not found the replacement watch.
This watch is good, but has a few issues. To begin with, the band is a very strange color - when worn next to my white gold wedding band, it almost appears khaki. An odd frosted texture does not improve the look. The gold bezel and face details are a nice touch, though. The workmanship seems pretty good. The case is right and tight, good seals and nice, crisp details. The band continues the multiple-personality disorder, however, with a sweet shiny-gold clasp connecting links with poorly finished ends. The band feels loose and jiggly in the links, like a much cheaper watch bracelet. Altogether and odd combination of colors, textures, styles and quality. Not sure what to think about this one, but I'm glad I got it on sale.
great price could not buy this Timex watch at this price even on sale at a store. I am a big Timex fan since these watches appear to hold up well and last longer.
